Outside the Box Design Studio ~ Sale ~ New Art Journal Kit

While I LOVE to scrap, I think I am really and truly an Art Journaller at heart. Outside the Box Designs was the first to ask me to be on her Creative Team when I just first started out with digital about a year ago. Since then I have submerged myself in the digital scrap and art journal world. I finally had something to do with all the pictures I have been taking of my kids for years and I have a way to express myself digitally without all the mess!!! So the bonus was two fold!

So with that being said, I love Outside the Box's new Art Journal kit Proof of Life! This was a really fun kit for me! Here is the preview and some pages that I did with this kit!

Art Journaling with Places in the Heart

So for this week's A.O.S workshop we are using this new great kit by Outside the Box called Places in the Heart its one of those kinds of kits that I just love and had to make a few layouts with it. OTBDS also has been collaborating with Precepts & Promises. Here is their part of Places in the Heart by Precepts & Promises  Here is what I came up with by using both parts of the collab.

So....Hide & Seek by Outside the Box Design Studio just released this incredible Art Journaling kit!!! I am in lovvvvvee!!!  I couldn't stop making pages out of this kit!! I think I ended up making like eight or nine of them!!!

This Art Journal took me FOREVER!!! Mainly because of the girl. I had purchased a collection of old flapper photos (LOVE flappers!) and she is just so pretty!!! So I extracted her from her background so she would fit into the trunk....and then recolored her. I think I am getting better with the recoloring.  I thought it would be a cute play on the Outside the Box Designs name because we are all learning more and more about how to not stick to the layout norms and structure!!

ATC ~ Artist Trading Card Fun

I have been working on a lot of things lately. Trying to finish up some challenges at sites I have never posted at before. I am usually addicted to GDS but find that I am getting braver about posting. I actually posted three ATCs at Deviant Scrap and they got really good comments..so thats a plus!!! 

Here are a couple that I posted. Just for fun!

When I saw this little altered doll by NB CrowAbout Designs (Courageous Me Kit), it reminded me of all the people that go to Walmart in their PJ's!! Personally I have never gone ANYWHERE but possibly the mail box in my jammies...but hey to each their own.

I have quite a few more but many of them are made with the new workshop materials from Outside the Box Design Studio.  The workshop isnt starting until Feb 1st, but am so glad that I got to see the materials early!!! Benefit of being one of her CTs!  So of course I already have two pages made, two quick pages made along with several ATCs.  We will also be having a blog train as well at the end of the month so that should be fun!!!

Trying not to be an Art Journal Chicken

So, I have decided that I am going to branch out!! Ha! Ok I have been doing challenges and posting at GDS for a few months now. I have been wanting to go to other sites and do their challenges too..but I've been kinda scared!!! Esp with Deviant Scrap. the people that post there are SOOOOOOO good! I love their more "altered" way of digital design. I love ATC's, Art Journals etc. I love making them too but I just never feel mine are as good.

So one of the challenges at DS is to do a small work of art in Black and White. The topic is "Courage" where you can basically use your New Year's rez or something that you have been wanting to do, or something you have done, etc that took a lot of courage for you to do. 

So I would love to take a dance class or even just go and do zumba with a group...but am too chicken to do it in front of people (besides my family who already think I am stranger than strange!) soooo, that is one of my NY rezes...is to actually go and take a class this year...and instead of doing zumba in front of the TV..do it with the group!! Or I would LOVE to learn to Salsa or ball room dance...but that would require my husband's participation and that certainly isn't going to happen! 

So...here is my little work of art that I made so far...I saved it in color and in B&W...but I dont know if I am going to post it yet...like I said...the other people that create on that site are amazing, so Im a bit chicken!

I think I definately like it in color better!!!  But I dont think I am ready to post on DS yet. (BTW, these were made with kits from TumbleFish, Outside the Box Design Studio, and Lisa's Altered Art.)

ARTchaeology of the Soul ~ Sneak Peak of whats to come!

Well we have 29 days until the ARTchaeology of the Soul Workshops begin! Personally I wish they would start right now, but I definately think they are worth the wait!
