Outside the Box Design Studio ~ Sale ~ New Art Journal Kit

While I LOVE to scrap, I think I am really and truly an Art Journaller at heart. Outside the Box Designs was the first to ask me to be on her Creative Team when I just first started out with digital about a year ago. Since then I have submerged myself in the digital scrap and art journal world. I have recently discovered templates. Normally I do all my layouts myself, just from my brain with possibly things for inspiration. Sometimes I just get "stuck" though and end up with layouts that look similar, so I have found that templates can really help you out of a jam...plus they are a snap because all you have to do is grab the kit you want to use and plunk everything in....easy peasy!!!

I have been collecting Created by Jill Scraps kits it seems like forever now! I love her kits, they are always jam packed with papers and elements and with very vivid colors. Even when the kit is a mini, I always seem to be able to make quite a few layouts out of a mini kit!!

Made myself a Siggie!

I finally broke down and made myself a siggie. I have been wanting too but wasn't sure of the sizes or anything!! So I got a template from Scrapbook Graphics which is another one of my favorite stores to shop in, but the template is by Studio Jen D called Get Siggy with it. I don't think it came out too bad!!! I used the kit This Little Piggy by Tangie Baxter which I also used to make my blinkie.

Kinda cute right?  Well the kids spruce it up a bit!

Journaling Challenge

Journalling...to be honest...I don't much like to journal! I like to do Art Journals.........but I dont really like writing a bunch of stuff on my layouts. When I see it on other people's layouts, I think it looks great, but always think it looks out of place on mine!!!  But with that being said...here is my layout for the Journalling Challenge at GDS....I used Created by Jill's brand new kit and add-on called Love Letter....(sooooo pretty!!) 

ARTchaeology of the Soul ~ Sneak Peak of whats to come!

Well we have 29 days until the ARTchaeology of the Soul Workshops begin! Personally I wish they would start right now, but I definately think they are worth the wait!

Amanda of Outside the Box Design Studio has put out a sneak peak of some of the elements that come with this amazine workshop!!!  Not only is this workshop going to be a lot of fun, it is also going to add a ton of great new elements to your stash for future art journaling!

I am NOT a Princess!!

Ok...so I finished my first lesson for my class tonight...but I cant post it for some reason GDS isnt loading!! Grrr....So while waiting, I decided to play around with this really cute kit called  Not A Princess by Marta Van Eck. I just love the colors! It is so bright and fun!

I am thinking I have to make more stuff with this kit!!!

Ok for my Week 4 Lesson 1 we are learning how to wrap ribbons. I ended up using  Les idées de Christine~ Reves Chap 1 Kit that I got from GDS...again I love the colors in this kit!! Muted shabby pinks. Not really sure if the frame really GOES with this kit, but I am more about doing what I feel like doing at the moment. I do have some elements in this layout from HollieWood (Deviant Scrap) and BooLand Purple Haze.

But overall I guess I am happy with it.

We are all packed up and heading back home in the morning. While I am so sad to leave, it will be nice to get home and to my own computer. I have had a hard time working with my mother's mouse, I am used to my roller ball...although I really need to use my pen and tablet thing...I need to try it anyway!!
